Critical stage regulations, rehearsal timelines, production protocols, and travel logistics for confirmed speakers participating in TEDxSoardsRoad on July 3–4, 2026.
Official TEDx Stage Regulations
Strictly enforced in compliance with global TED licensing standards.
12–15 Minute Strict Time Limit
Every talk is strictly capped at 12 to 15 minutes. Official timing clocks on the stage monitor will countdown from 15:00. Speakers must conclude before the clock reaches zero.
Zero Commercial Pitching or Stage Selling
In accordance with global TEDx rules, no direct product sales, service pitches, book promotions, political endorsements, or commercial calls-to-action are permitted from the red circle.
Memorized Delivery / Minimal Reference Notes
Talks should be thoroughly rehearsed and delivered naturally from memory. Lecterns are not permitted. A confidence monitor with minimal slide/timer prompts is provided at the stage foot.
Smart Casual Tailored for Outdoor Kentucky Summer
Smart casual or elevated stage attire suitable for a covered outdoor lakefront pavilion in a Kentucky July climate (high 80s°F). Avoid tiny houndstooth or tight striped patterns that cause video moiré.
Production & Rehearsal Itinerary
Interactive schedule for Friday, July 3rd (Full Dress Rehearsal) and Saturday, July 4th (Event Day).
Speaker Check-in, Breakfast & Badge Pickup
Arrival at Queenslake Main Lodge. Coffee, light breakfast pastries, tech credential issuance, and speaker packet review.
Stage Walk, Lavalier Mic Fitting & Tech Orientation
Orientation with the production audio, video, and stage lighting crew. Testing wireless lavalier mics, stage monitors, and clickers.
Session 1 & 2 Chronological Run-Through
Full-scale dress rehearsal for morning speakers (Sessions 1 & 2) in exact order of show with live timing clocks.
Catered Farm Luncheon on the Lake Lawn
Networking lunch for speakers, emcees, production staff, and organizers prepared with local Kentucky ingredients.
Session 3 & 4 Run-Through & 1-on-1 Speaker Coaching
Chronological run-through for afternoon speakers (Sessions 3 & 4) alongside personalized stage coaching with Dr. Forbes Riley and John Chmela.
Final Audio, Broadcast Lighting & Multi-Cam Cue Checks
Final camera alignment, audio balancing, teleprompter/timer sync, and live streaming multi-camera cue checks.
Rehearsal Wrap & Speaker Welcome Reception
Informal evening reception on the Queenslake Veranda overlooking the lake to toast America's 250th birthday eve.

Mandatory Speaker Call
Arrive at the Queenslake Main Lodge Green Room by 8:00 AM sharp. Wireless transmitters will be calibrated and body packs secured.
Reserved VIP Speaker Parking
Display your digital Speaker Pass at the 292 Soards Road main gate to access the VIP lot directly behind the Lake Pavilion.
On-Site B&B Manor Lodging
Speakers reserving rooms at the Queenslake Bed & Breakfast can check in starting Thursday, July 2 at 3:00 PM EDT.
