Nestled in the rolling pastoral countryside of Scott County, Kentucky, Queenslake Horse Farm is an expansive 140-acre thoroughbred sanctuary and historic Bluegrass landmark. Centered around a tranquil, spring-fed lake enveloped in morning mist, the estate features classical Greek Revival manor architecture, historic horse stables, lush fenced paddocks with grazing thoroughbreds, and an open-air covered event pavilion.
As lead organizer John Chmela envisioned, staging TEDxSoardsRoad at Queenslake created a powerful juxtaposition: interrogating the future of generative artificial intelligence and high-stakes performance against the timeless backdrop of Kentucky soil, equestrian endurance, and two and a half centuries of American pioneer resilience.
